Lets Get Started!

Hey everyone! I am currently working on a blog about some of the things the Lord has been teaching me lately. But until that is finished, let me fill you in on my last month of living.

I made it back to the states a little over a month ago. I ate the most delicious mac & cheese in the LA airport. I spent a week down in Tampa with my family. I moved down to Georgia and started the CGA program at Adventures. I am currently seeking a job in town. That’s the quick rundown.

I spent a few good weeks with my family before I left for CGA. It was good to spend some quality time with them and just relax at home. I got to meet up with a lot of friends and just discuss the last 9 months, theirs and mine. My brother got engaged while I was home. That’s exciting! My other brother was telling me about his desire to continue mission work in the near future. Also exciting!

When I moved down to Georgia, I moved into a house with 8 other guys. I thought, crap this is really happening again. Living in close quarters with a bunch of other men. It’s now three weeks later, and I love it. They are some awesome guys seeking after the Lord and just living life while intentionally pouring into and teaching each other.

In CGA, we have been studying the topics of humility, servant leadership, influence, and are currently studying shame and vulnerability. My classmates include 8 women (3 of which are squad mates from the race) and 1 other guy, who I also live with.

The Adventures community is an amazing group of people. Every Monday morning, we have all staff worship, where we get to start the week just in praise and worship of an amazing and loving God. During the week, you will almost never meet a stranger. The staff is full of some really loving and caring people. If you find someone you don’t know, say hello, and within a couple minutes you’ll have a new friend. They aren’t shy people by any means.

I am super excited for all that God has in store at CGA for my classmates and me this summer! Thanks and God bless!
